Terms and Conditions

Juicyfuithippo has its own set of Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully so that you understand the terms of use for this website. These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

These Terms and Conditions also serve as the Acceptable Usage Policy for Juicyfuithippo.com.

1.     All users must accept that as Juicyfuithippo holds ultimate responsibility for the upkeep of the website, that there may be changes/alterations to both the site and any work contained within it.

2.     All users must be aware that they are legally responsible for the work and material that they add to Juicyfuithippo.

3.     Excessive or "spam" linking in either stories or in the forum will not be tolerated and will be seen as breaching these Terms and Conditions.

4.     You must not ever post any information that is copyrighted to other sources. This includes images as well as text. Some material may be used if the correct source is attributed in some way.

5.     Juicyfuithippo withholds the right to ban any user for any reason and at any time, and also withholds the right to remove any materials under the same restrictions.

6.     Juicyfuithippo will uphold its integrity by any means possible but not in abuse of its promises as stated in its online policies.

7.     Juicyfuithippo will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to work stored in our system. However, all attempts will be made to ensure that any loss or damage is limited.

8.     You must not post any information which is overly offensive or inflammatory. It is at the discretion of Juicyfuithippo to decide which information contravenes this policy, and your work may as a result be edited or deleted.

9.     Images that are linked to stories must be appropriate and relevant to the story, or must otherwise be deemed to be acceptable by Juicyfuithippo.

10. You must not post advertisements or promotions of any kind.

11. Any alterations made by Juicyfuithippo to your work may be queried by yourself at any time. However, re-editing work to undo alterations made by Juicyfuithippo will not be accepted and will be met with a warning. This includes any alterations/replacements of images used in your work.

12. After 3 warnings, we reserve the right to ban you from posting work to Juicyfuithippo. However, we do see this as a 'final straw' scenario. Any major abuse of the system may result in an immediate ban.

13. Any decision taken by Juicyfuithippo is final. By all means argue your case with us, but if the result is not in your favour, any repetition of or continuation of similar actions will be seen as major abuse and may consequently result in a ban. Backups of your original work will be kept for the length of any dispute, where possible, and will afterwards either be re-instated or deleted.

14. Feel pretty much free to submit what you like. If there is a problem we won't immediately ban you or assume anything about your future contribution. We will always attempt to inform you if action is taken against any of your work, by sending you emails where applicable. Refer also to 9). We approve anythingthat goes out. We want funny, not sick.

15. If you are unsure of whether your work contravenes any of the points above, please make the effort to contact us and we will do our best to help you.

16. We're trying to cover our backs and at the same time run the site in the way that best serves our outrageous plans for world domination. Please bear this in mind during any disputes. We were going to have just one policy: "life is too short, don’t be a twat". It's succinct, and really, that's about all we ask!

17. This website and all its content is owned and copyright to Juicyfuithippo*. No part of the website may be reproduced or retransmitted without consent.

18. Any attempt to hack or otherwise edit the website without direct instruction will be met with an immediate ban, without warning. This includes any attempt to manipulate the website to view other users' accounts. Any action or inaction which opens Juicyfuithippo.com to any electronic attack, including (but not exclusive to) viruses or DDOS atack will be taken up with the ISP of the user found to be at the root of the matter.

* The work of any specific contributor is protected as far as possible by Juicyfuithippo, but is owned directly by the contributor until approved by juicyfruithippo for general release.  Further information on this is available in our Privacy Policy.

The privacy policy of Juicyfuithippo is provided to give you details on how any information stored by us is protected.
Website users
1. Juicyfuithippo will not use any email address or other contact information without direct permission and will never sell/distribute/use your email address outside of this site.
2. Juicyfuithippo will make all efforts to ensure any information you have given us will be stored securely.

4. Any information we do store about you is immediately alterable/removeable on-line by yourself and you may unregister for any subscriptions at any time. We do not hold any further information than that which you freely provide.
5. Cookies are used on this site in order to help us identify you upon return visits but in no way represent a challenge to your online security.
Contributors
1.     Juicyfruithippo may reproduce, retransmit or otherwise use your work in any way. Named accreditation will be given. No payment is offered for this work or reuse unless specifically agreed prior to publication on juicyfruithippo.com or juicyfruithippo.co.uk.
2.     On posting to general release to juicyfruithippo.com or juicyfruithippo.co.uk all work is copyrighted and owned by juicyfruithippo.
3.     Prior to posting to general release the contributor may withdraw his/her work at any time and may unsubscribe from the contributor's subscription.
